HP has announced the appointment of Dirk Lewis as India Market Communications Lead, a role that places him at the helm of the company’s communications strategy in one of its most dynamic markets. Lewis will oversee corporate and product storytelling, media relations, content development, and the localisation of global campaigns, ensuring HP’s narratives resonate with diverse audiences across India.

Lewis joins HP after a significant four-year stint at Tata Digital, where he played a pivotal role in shaping the communications strategy for the launch of Tata Neu, the group’s ambitious super app. His leadership extended across Tata Digital’s portfolio of businesses, where he crafted messaging that highlighted innovation, customer-centricity, and the company’s digital transformation journey. The successful rollout of Tata Neu marked a milestone in India’s digital commerce landscape, and Lewis’s communications expertise was instrumental in positioning the platform as a flagship initiative.

At HP, Lewis’s mandate will involve strengthening the company’s brand presence in India by aligning global campaigns with local market dynamics. His focus on storytelling and content localisation is expected to enhance HP’s ability to engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders in a market that continues to evolve rapidly. With India’s technology sector expanding and consumer expectations shifting, effective communication has become central to building trust and sustaining relevance.

Lewis’s appointment reflects HP’s recognition of the importance of seasoned communications leadership in navigating India’s competitive and diverse environment. His experience at Tata Digital, where he balanced corporate priorities with the demands of a fast-changing digital ecosystem, positions him well to drive HP’s communications agenda. By leveraging his expertise in media relations and strategic storytelling, HP aims to reinforce its reputation as a trusted technology partner while deepening its engagement with Indian audiences.

This move also underscores HP’s broader ambition to consolidate its communications function in key growth markets. As the company continues to innovate across personal systems, printing, and digital solutions, Lewis’s leadership will be critical in ensuring that its messaging remains consistent, compelling, and locally relevant. His appointment signals HP’s commitment to investing in communications talent capable of bridging global narratives with local insights, a strategy increasingly vital in today’s interconnected business landscape.
