Dubai’s tourism sector marked a milestone yesterday as Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, welcomed over 1,700 partners, stakeholders and media representatives to the first City Briefing of 2026 at Dubai Opera. The gathering underscored Dubai’s resilience and agility amid evolving regional dynamics, highlighting the city’s ability to maintain operational continuity and robust service standards.
Kazim credited decisive leadership and swift coordination with hospitality and aviation partners for sustaining connectivity and reinforcing investor confidence. Government economic incentive packages worth AED2.5 billion have further strengthened business continuity across tourism and hospitality, ensuring stability in a competitive global landscape.
He emphasised that Dubai’s enduring strength lies not only in institutional response but in the community spirit that underpins it. From collaborative initiatives in the restaurant sector to residents rallying behind their city, the collective energy has reinforced Dubai’s resilience.
Looking ahead, Kazim reaffirmed alignment with the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, to consolidate Dubai’s position as a leading global city for business and leisure. Upcoming initiatives such as Dubai Summer Surprises and the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge will continue to drive growth, competitiveness and international appeal.
Kazim concluded by thanking partners, stakeholders, residents, visitors and the media for their trust and collaboration, noting their pivotal role in Dubai’s growth story.
