Harshavardhan Chitale, a seasoned industry veteran, has been appointed CEO of Hero MotoCorp, bringing decades of experience in technology, manufacturing, and global operations. He aims to drive growth, innovation, and strengthen the company’s market position.

Hero MotoCorp, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Harshavardhan Chitale as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant leadership transition at the company. Chitale, a seasoned industry veteran, will take the helm and steer Hero MotoCorp’s overall strategy, driving growth and strengthening its position in the global and domestic markets.

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Chitale brings a wealth of experience in technology, manufacturing, and global operations to his new role. Prior to joining Hero MotoCorp, he served as CEO – Professional Business at Signify, where he led the company’s global professional lighting business with annual revenues of around €4 billion. He was also a Member of the Board of Management at Signify N.V.

Chitale’s impressive track record also includes senior leadership roles at HCL Enterprise, Honeywell, and Tata Administrative Services (TAS), showcasing his expertise in driving business growth, innovation, and operational excellence. His appointment is expected to bring a fresh perspective to Hero MotoCorp, as the company looks to accelerate its growth trajectory and maintain its leadership position in the Indian two-wheeler market.
