Heckler Singapore recently partnered with Adidas Southeast Asia to support the launch of its global campaign, creating an inspiring suite of four films, directed by Cody Amos.

Anchored in the messaging of their global campaign, the series – titled ‘Plus One’ – is a simple yet moving tribute to those always in our corner, spurring us to go the extra mile and conquer our best. Filmed as a single take, the films feature unique scripts and different influencer athletes for different markets, Coach Jatt for Malaysia and Ditto for Indonesia.

Expanding on the Plus One film message, the ‘Supernova’ films celebrate the meditative aspect of sport. Cut to a beautiful track composed by Johnny Green at Heckler Sound, the films were shot over three nights in Malaysia by the Heckler crew and will launch across TV, OOH, and social media platforms.

Cody says: “At this time of year in Malaysia and Indonesia most people are celebrating Ramadan. We really wanted to tap into the beautiful aspects of life in this part of the world, especially at this time. The simple things. A little wave, a small smile, the beauty of simple decorations, and the joy of getting home to family or meeting friends for a meal. We wanted to explore these things in the context of going for a run, rather than the usual focus on grit and determination. Running can be beautiful and peaceful and an almost spiritual part of life.”

Johnny adds: “I wanted to create a piece of music that captures the essence of pre-dawn. The stillness, the quiet resolve it takes to rise and get moving. Collaborating with Cody in the final stages brought it to a sublime, dreamlike state, with momentum. A perfect example of creatives listening to each other to shape the right emotion and bring music and vision to life.”

Commenting on the project collaboration, Jun Sheng Poh, Brand Communications Manager for Southeast Asia at adidas, said: “Our partnership on the 2025 brand campaign films, as well as the launch films for the Supernova Rise 2, fostered a great creative synergy that translated into compelling visual narratives. It was truly a joy to work with Cody and the team, and we look forward to future collaborations with Heckler!”
