Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd has appointed Mohit Pradhan as Vice President and Category Leader for its Feminine Hygiene division, effective 1 August 2026. A company veteran with nearly two decades of global leadership experience, Pradhan succeeds Girish Kalyanaraman, marking a significant leadership transition in P&G’s India operations.

In a move signalling continuity and renewal, Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Health Care Ltd has announced the elevation of Mohit Pradhan as Vice President and Category Leader for its Feminine Hygiene business, effective 1 August 2026. Pradhan, a seasoned executive with nearly 20 years at P&G, succeeds Girish Kalyanaraman, whose role within the company will change from 1 July 2026.

Pradhan’s career trajectory reflects P&G’s hallmark of nurturing talent across geographies and functions. He has held leadership positions spanning India, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa, gaining expertise in general management, commercial strategy, sales leadership, go-to-market transformation, and customer development. This breadth of experience equips him to steer one of P&G’s most critical categories in India, where feminine hygiene products are increasingly central to conversations around health, empowerment, and accessibility.

The Feminine Hygiene division, anchored by household names and trusted brands, represents both a commercial powerhouse and a social responsibility for P&G. With rising awareness, evolving consumer preferences, and growing emphasis on inclusivity, the category is poised for transformation. Pradhan’s appointment underscores P&G’s intent to strengthen its leadership bench and ensure that innovation and consumer engagement remain at the forefront.

Industry observers note that the timing of this leadership transition is significant. Multinational consumer goods companies are recalibrating strategies to meet heightened competition and shifting consumer behaviour in the hygiene and health care space. Sustainability, affordability, and digital engagement are now critical levers, and leaders like Pradhan are expected to balance global best practices with local market realities.

For P&G, the decision to elevate a long-serving executive signals confidence in internal talent and a commitment to continuity. Pradhan’s global exposure is likely to bring fresh insights into market expansion and product innovation, while his deep understanding of India’s consumer landscape will help tailor strategies to local needs.

As he steps into the role, Pradhan faces the challenge of sustaining growth while driving innovation in a category that is both commercially vital and socially impactful. His leadership will be closely watched as P&G continues to shape the narrative around feminine hygiene in India, blending business imperatives with cultural resonance.
