Hansa Entertainment has appointed Sujatha Narayanan as CEO, marking a bold step in its mission to reimagine storytelling for mobile-first audiences. Founded by Sruti and Siddharth Swamy, the company will produce short and long-running series, original films, theatrical ventures, podcasts, and vertical dramas across multiple Indian languages.

Hansa Entertainment has announced the appointment of Sujatha Narayanan as its Chief Executive Officer, signalling a new era for the company as it seeks to redefine entertainment for today’s digital-first audiences. Building on the legacy of Hansa Vision, the newly incorporated entity will focus on creating original programming across digital, television, OTT platforms, and theatrical features.

The company, founded by Sruti and Siddharth Swamy, aims to operate at the intersection of creativity and strategic scale, blending traditional storytelling values with speed, data intelligence, and platform fluency. Its portfolio will include short-running series, long-running series, original films for OTT, and theatrical productions, alongside podcasts under the banner Hansa Spotlight and vertical dramas through Hansa Originals. Productions will span Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, and Kannada, reflecting the diversity of India’s audiences.

Sruti Swamy, Director of Hansa Entertainment, highlighted Narayanan’s two decades of experience in film and OTT content curation, noting her reputation as a columnist and media entrepreneur. “Sujatha brings significant goodwill across markets, which will help us deliver engaging productions across formats and languages,” she said.

Narayanan expressed enthusiasm about her new role, emphasising that Hansa Entertainment will evolve as a story-first, IP-driven entity. “We have already assembled a dynamic team of creators who will helm our vertical dramas, shows, and films. Our stories will be chosen with an ear-to-the-ground approach, while maintaining strong aesthetic and filmmaking sensibilities,” she remarked.

With a foundation rooted in the values of the R K Swamy Hansa Group, Hansa Entertainment is positioning itself as a contemporary production house that speaks the language of modern viewers while honouring storytelling traditions. The appointment of Sujatha Narayanan underscores its ambition to deliver high-impact entertainment across platforms and formats, setting the stage for a new chapter in India’s creative economy.
