Day one of GoaFest 2026 ABBY Media Awards saw WPP Media, EssenceMediacom, The Coca-Cola Company, and Jagran Prakashan emerge as top winners. WPP Media led Network Agency rankings, EssenceMediacom topped Media Agency, Coca-Cola dominated advertisers, and Jagran Prakashan led publishers, marking a strong start to India’s premier media festival.  

The first day of the ABBY Media Awards at GoaFest 2026 set the tone for a high-stakes celebration of creativity and media excellence, with WPP Media, EssenceMediacom, The Coca-Cola Company, and Jagran Prakashan emerging as the standout winners. Agencies, advertisers, and publishers competed across specialist categories, underscoring the scale and diversity of India’s media landscape.  

In the Network Agency of the Year category, WPP Media dominated with 242 points and 37 metals, including 19 gold, 9 silver, and 9 bronze awards. Omnicom Media Group followed with 108 points and 20 metals, highlighted by 2 Grand Prix wins. Tribes Communications secured third place with 66 points and 11 metals, including a Grand Prix for its campaign “The Barefoot Journey” for Kansai Nerolac Paints.  

The Media Agency of the Year rankings saw EssenceMediacom lead with 88 points and 14 metals, comprising 5 gold, 6 silver, and 3 bronze awards. Wavemaker India came close behind with 76 points and 11 metals, while Mindshare India followed with 66 points and 10 metals, including 6 gold.  

Among advertisers, The Coca-Cola Company topped the Client of the Year rankings with 46 points and 8 metals, including 1 gold and 5 silver awards. Kansai Nerolac Paints secured second place with 36 points and 5 metals, while Birla Opus Paints took third with 30 points and 4 metals.  

In the Publisher of the Year category, Jagran Prakashan led with 46 points and 8 metals, including 3 gold and 2 silver awards. The Hindu Group followed with 22 points and 4 metals, while ABP and Hindustan Media Ventures shared third place with 14 points each.  

The opening day’s results reflect the growing emphasis on integrated strategies, data-led planning, and creative innovation across India’s media ecosystem. With WPP Media and EssenceMediacom setting benchmarks in agency performance, Coca-Cola reinforcing its brand dominance, and Jagran Prakashan leading publishing, GoaFest 2026 has already signalled a year of fierce competition and landmark achievements.
