Bvlgari has named Shahid Kapoor its first Friend of the House for Fragrances in India, representing Bvlgari Man and Le Gemme collections. More than an endorsement, the appointment reflects luxury brands’ evolving strategies in India, choosing personalities whose values align with their ethos, underscoring India’s rising significance in global luxury.

Bvlgari has announced Shahid Kapoor as its first-ever Friend of the House for Fragrances in India, marking a significant step in the luxury brand’s evolving relationship with the country’s market. Kapoor will represent the Maison’s Bvlgari Man and Le Gemme collections, reinforcing the brand’s growing focus on fragrance storytelling in India.

This appointment is more than a celebrity endorsement. It reflects how luxury houses are redefining partnerships in India, choosing personalities who embody their values rather than simply chasing popularity. In a landscape where stars like Hrithik Roshan and Sidharth Malhotra front campaigns, Bvlgari’s choice of Kapoor underscores its preference for understated elegance.

Kapoor’s reputation for consistency, effortless style and premium appeal aligns seamlessly with Bvlgari’s positioning. His image resonates with the brand’s ethos of sophistication without excess, making him a natural fit for a Maison that blends modernity with classicism.

Founded in Rome in 1884 by Sotirio Bulgari, the brand has grown from a single jewellery shop into a global symbol of Italian excellence. Its pioneering spirit has expanded into watches, accessories, perfumes and luxury resorts, while maintaining deep roots in craftsmanship and heritage.

Bvlgari’s philosophy extends beyond aesthetics, emphasising authenticity and passion among its people. As part of the LVMH Group, the Maison offers dynamic career opportunities worldwide, encouraging individuals to pursue paths that reflect their talents. This ethos of nurturing potential mirrors the brand’s approach to partnerships, where ambassadors are chosen not just for visibility but for cultural resonance.

By appointing Shahid Kapoor, Bvlgari signals its intent to deepen its connection with India’s luxury consumers, positioning fragrances as a vital expression of its Roman heritage and modern identity. The move highlights India’s growing importance in the global luxury landscape and reaffirms Bvlgari’s commitment to building meaningful, value-driven relationships.
