APPLE INDIA APPOINTS SHAGUN SEDA AS HEAD OF MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Apple India has appointed Shagun Seda as Head of Marketing Communications, entrusting her with brand strategy, creative communications and integrated marketing initiatives. With over two decades of award-winning experience across Netflix, JioStar, Viacom18 and leading agencies, Seda brings proven expertise in culture-shaping campaigns and cross-platform storytelling to Apple’s India operations.  

Apple India has announced the appointment of Shagun Seda as Head of Marketing Communications, a move that signals the company’s intent to strengthen its brand presence and consumer engagement in one of its most dynamic markets. In her new role, Seda will lead brand strategy, creative communications and integrated marketing initiatives across Apple’s India operations, reporting into the company’s leadership team.  

Seda joins Apple from JioStar, where she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing Creative Strategy and Communications. Her career spans more than 22 years across global and Indian powerhouses including Netflix, Viacom18, DDB and TBWA, where she has consistently demonstrated the ability to craft meaningful stories that resonate across cultures and generations.  

Her expertise lies in managing large, established brands with complex global marketing needs, leading interdisciplinary teams, and creating culture-shaping campaigns with measurable business impact. With experience across diverse sectors such as digital media and entertainment, consumer technology, FMCG, fashion, retail, telecom, automotive, finance and food and beverage, Seda has built a reputation for moving at the speed of culture to make culture.  

A multi award-winning marketing leader, she has been recognised at Cannes Lions, One Show, D&AD, Clio, Effie’s, WARC, Spikes Asia, Kyoorius, Abby’s, Shark, Promax and other prestigious platforms for creativity, marketing effectiveness and social impact. Her ability to blend data-informed strategy with cross-platform creative storytelling is seen as vital for today’s customer who lives across devices, regions and phygital experiences.  

Apple India’s decision to bring Seda on board reflects its ambition to deepen its connection with Indian consumers through innovative campaigns that balance global brand consistency with local cultural relevance.
