Cristiano Ronaldo has invested in Perplexity AI, a fast-growing AI search startup now valued at $20 billion. The football icon announced the move through social media, calling curiosity the key to excellence and praising Perplexity for helping people ask sharper questions.

The platform marked the partnership with a special “Perplexity x CR7” interactive page showcasing his career milestones. This page allows fans to explore Ronaldo’s career, watch his goals, and learn more about his life.

Perplexity’s CEO, Aravind Srinivas, expressed excitement about Ronaldo’s investment, stating, “We’re thrilled to have Cristiano Ronaldo join us. He’s someone who’s always looking to improve, and we believe Perplexity can help him ask even better questions.”

Founded in 2022, Perplexity now handles over 150 million weekly queries and continues expanding through global partnerships, student programs, and telecom tie-ups.

The partnership is expected to boost Perplexity’s visibility and credibility, leveraging Ronaldo’s massive global following. With this investment, Ronaldo joins a growing list of high-profile investors backing AI startups.
