Kshitija Sharma has stepped into a pivotal new role as Regional Lead – Asia-Pacific, Marketing & Communications, Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem at Lufthansa Digital Ecosystem. The appointment, shared by Sharma in a LinkedIn update, marks a significant expansion of her responsibilities within the organisation, underscoring Lufthansa’s commitment to strengthening its digital technology operations across the Asia-Pacific region.

In her new capacity, Sharma will spearhead marketing and communications strategy across APAC, tasked with enhancing collaboration among key digital platforms including flydocs, AMOS, and AVIATAR. These platforms form the backbone of Lufthansa’s Digital Tech Ops Ecosystem, enabling airlines and partners to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and harness data-driven insights. Sharma’s role will be central to driving brand visibility, embedding strategic storytelling, and fostering deeper engagement with customers and partners across diverse markets.

Her appointment reflects Lufthansa’s broader ambition to consolidate its digital ecosystem as a global leader in aviation technology solutions. By aligning communications and marketing efforts across APAC, Sharma will play a crucial role in ensuring that Lufthansa’s digital platforms resonate with regional stakeholders, while also reinforcing the company’s reputation for innovation and customer-centricity.

Sharma brings to the role a strong foundation in corporate communications, having previously served as Lead-Corporate Communication. In that position, she was instrumental in shaping internal and external narratives, building brand equity, and supporting Lufthansa’s strategic objectives. Her transition into a regional leadership role signals both recognition of her expertise and confidence in her ability to navigate the complexities of Asia-Pacific’s dynamic aviation landscape.

The appointment comes at a time when digital transformation is reshaping the aviation industry, with airlines increasingly reliant on integrated technology ecosystems to manage operations, enhance safety, and deliver superior passenger experiences. Sharma’s leadership is expected to help Lufthansa strengthen its positioning in this evolving environment, ensuring that its digital platforms are not only technically robust but also effectively communicated to stakeholders.

By taking on this expanded remit, Sharma is set to contribute to Lufthansa’s vision of building a connected, collaborative, and future-ready aviation ecosystem. Her focus on strategic storytelling and customer engagement will be vital in bridging the gap between technology and its real-world impact, reinforcing Lufthansa’s role as a trusted partner in digital aviation solutions.
