Surej Salim, Co-Founder and COO of Digitally Inspired Media, has been re-elected as President of Advertising Club Madras for 2026-27. Kavitha Srinivasan, Murugan K. and Stalin Periasamy join him as office bearers, with a diverse committee blending past presidents, industry leaders and new co-opted members to drive the club’s vision.
Surej Salim, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Digitally Inspired Media, has been re-elected as the 46th President of Advertising Club Madras for the year 2026-27. His re-election was confirmed at the club’s Annual General Meeting held on 10 September 2026, marking a continuation of his leadership at one of South India’s most influential advertising and marketing forums.
Alongside Salim, the AGM also saw the re-election of Kavitha Srinivasan, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Coeus Communications India LLP, as Secretary. Srinivasan’s return to the role reflects her ongoing contribution to the club’s organisational strength and her commitment to fostering collaboration across the communications industry. Murugan K., Business Head at Jaya TV Network, was elected Treasurer, bringing his expertise in broadcast media to the committee. Stalin Periasamy, Founder and CEO of Presto Advertising, was re-elected as Joint Secretary, further reinforcing continuity in the club’s leadership team.
The committee for 2026-27 features a blend of continuity and fresh representation. S. Balasubramanian of Dinamalar will serve as Immediate Past President and Ex Officio member, ensuring institutional memory and guidance. The committee also includes representatives from OPN Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Catalyst Public Relations Pvt. Ltd., Ontwikkel Advertising Pvt. Ltd., Mr. A Brand Works, Ayatiworks Technologies LLP, Deepsense Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Soloverse and The Raven Claw, reflecting the diverse spectrum of agencies and firms that form the backbone of the regional advertising ecosystem.
In addition to elected members, several past presidents have been co-opted into the committee, including Karthic Moorthy, Anbuchezhian K, M. M. Charly, P. Shree Prakash, Saravanaa and Arabbhi Athreya. Their inclusion underscores the club’s tradition of drawing on the experience of seasoned leaders to guide its activities and uphold its standards of excellence.
The committee has also welcomed new co-opted members, signalling a commitment to fresh perspectives and industry innovation. Meena Chhabbria of Ma.ai, Karthik Nagappan of Super Chennai and K.M.
