As festive shopping evolves into an experience-led activity, DLF Malls is transforming its destinations across Delhi NCR with immersive décor, cultural installations, dining, entertainment and rewards. Through large-scale festive experiences and its annual Shopping Festival, the retail major is positioning malls as destinations for celebration, connection and discovery.

The festive season is increasingly becoming about much more than shopping. Across Delhi NCR, families are seeking destinations that blend celebration, leisure and discovery, turning what was once a routine retail visit into a day-long experience filled with entertainment, dining and shared moments.

Reflecting this shift in consumer behaviour, DLF Malls has transformed its portfolio of retail destinations into immersive festive environments designed to encourage visitors to linger, explore and celebrate. From DLF Mall of India and DLF Promenade to DLF Avenue, DLF CyberHub, DLF Midtown Plaza and DLF Summit Plaza, shoppers are embracing experiences that combine cultural storytelling with contemporary aesthetics and engaging activities.

This year’s festive transformation draws heavily on India’s rich artistic and cultural traditions, reinterpreted through a modern design lens. At DLF Avenue, visitors are welcomed by The Enchanted Lantern, an installation that celebrates the enduring themes of light, warmth and togetherness associated with the festive season. Meanwhile, DLF Mall of India showcases Royal Opulence, centred around a striking conch-inspired structure symbolising auspicious beginnings. The installation is complemented by majestic peacock sculptures, which have quickly emerged as a popular backdrop for family photographs and social media moments.

Across the portfolio, visitors encounter decorative details inspired by traditional craftsmanship, including intricate jaali patterns, delicate filigree work, lotus motifs and floral embellishments. Warm ambient lighting and luxurious finishes further enhance the festive atmosphere, encouraging guests to pause and immerse themselves in the celebration.

At DLF Promenade, a sophisticated white-and-gold décor theme offers a contemporary interpretation of Diwali festivities. Adding to the appeal is Bulgari’s acclaimed art installation, Passing the Light, which serves as a centrepiece for the season. The installation features 4,500 handcrafted terracotta elements inspired by traditional diyas and the brand’s iconic Serpenti motif, bringing together artistry, heritage and luxury in a visually striking display.

DLF Midtown Plaza has also embraced the festive spirit with an illuminated lotus-inspired installation that combines modern design sensibilities with traditional symbolism. The display creates an engaging visual experience that resonates with visitors seeking both cultural authenticity and contemporary expression.

The growing demand for experience-led celebrations is also reshaping shopping habits. Mall visits today frequently extend beyond retail purchases, with families combining shopping excursions with meals, entertainment and social gatherings. Recognising this trend, DLF Malls has curated a festive programme intended to make every visit more engaging and rewarding.

Central to this effort is the annual Shopping Festival, which combines festive retail experiences with exclusive customer rewards. Through the DLF Malls Rewards programme, shoppers can earn up to ten times the reward points on eligible purchases. Customers spending ₹10,000 or more can also gain access to more than 10,000 assured gifts and vouchers. Supported by an expanding mix of fashion, beauty, dining and lifestyle brands, the initiative aims to reward visitors not only for their purchases but also for the time they spend enjoying the festive atmosphere.

“Festivals are about creating memorable moments with family and loved ones,” said Ms Pushpa Bector, Group Executive Director and Business Head, DLF Retail. “Through our immersive décor, curated experiences and Shopping Festival, we are bringing together celebration, discovery and rewards to make every visit to DLF Malls more engaging and rewarding.”

As consumers increasingly seek experiences that go beyond transactions, DLF Malls is positioning its destinations as hubs for celebration, community and discovery. In doing so, it is helping redefine the role of modern retail spaces, ensuring that a festive outing becomes an occasion in itself rather than simply a shopping trip.
