Google has unveiled a new Gemini campaign featuring Shah Rukh Khan, crafted by McCann India and Nirvana Films. The initiative positions Gemini as an approachable AI companion, enabling users to interact in their own languages through text, speech, images and video, bridging everyday barriers and empowering exploration and decision-making.

Google has launched a striking new campaign for its Gemini AI platform, enlisting Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan to embody the promise of technology that speaks to people in their own languages. Developed in collaboration with McCann India and Nirvana Films, the campaign is designed to make artificial intelligence feel more approachable, accessible and relevant to everyday life.

The multilingual initiative positions Gemini as more than a tool—it is presented as an everyday companion capable of helping users explore ideas, navigate decisions and overcome common barriers. By enabling interaction through text, speech, images and video, Gemini is framed as a versatile partner that adapts to the way people naturally communicate.

Shah Rukh Khan’s presence in the campaign underscores the ambition to connect with audiences across India’s diverse linguistic landscape. His stature as a cultural figure who transcends regional boundaries makes him an ideal face for a product that seeks to democratise access to AI. The campaign highlights how Gemini can respond in multiple languages, reflecting the reality of India’s multilingual households and workplaces.

The creative execution by McCann India and Nirvana Films leans into everyday scenarios, showing Gemini as a supportive presence in moments of curiosity, decision-making and problem-solving. Whether it is helping someone brainstorm ideas, guiding them through a choice, or breaking down barriers of language and comprehension, Gemini is portrayed as a trusted companion rather than a distant piece of technology.

This approach marks a significant shift in how AI is marketed in India. Rather than focusing solely on technical sophistication, the campaign emphasises emotional resonance and cultural relevance. By allowing people to interact in their own languages, Gemini addresses one of the most persistent challenges in technology adoption—the dominance of English as a gatekeeper to digital tools.

The campaign also reflects Google’s broader strategy of embedding AI into everyday life, making it less intimidating and more human-centred. By showcasing Gemini’s ability to work across formats—text, speech, images and video—the brand signals its intent to be a comprehensive platform for creativity, communication and decision-making.

For Indian audiences, the campaign is likely to resonate strongly. It acknowledges the lived reality of multilingualism and positions AI as something that belongs in the home as much as in the office. With Shah Rukh Khan’s charisma anchoring the narrative, Gemini is presented not as a futuristic abstraction but as a relatable companion ready to assist in daily life.

In choosing to highlight language inclusivity and everyday utility, Google’s Gemini campaign sets out to redefine how AI is perceived in India. It is not about replacing human interaction but about enhancing it—bridging gaps, sparking ideas and making technology feel like part of the family.
