PRIME INDUSTRIES STRENGTHENS LEADERSHIP WITH APPOINTMENT OF DEEPAK HANDA AS DIRECTOR

Prime Industries Ltd. has appointed Deepak Handa as Director, bringing over 25 years of manufacturing and operational expertise to its leadership. His arrival coincides with the company’s establishment of an R&D incubation centre for its Special Purpose Division, reinforcing its ambitions in defence, nuclear power and advanced precision engineering technologies.

Prime Industries Ltd. has announced the appointment of Mr. Deepak Handa as a Director, a move that comes at a pivotal moment in the company’s growth trajectory. The announcement coincides with the establishment of a dedicated R&D incubation centre to design and develop components for its Special Purpose Division (SPD), underscoring the company’s commitment to strengthening indigenous industrial technologies across defence, nuclear power and emerging manufacturing sectors.  

With majority and minority stakes in high-precision engineering and nuclear enterprises, Prime Industries is positioning itself as a key player in specialised engineering and advanced industrial technologies. The addition of Handa to its leadership team brings valuable depth in manufacturing, technical understanding and execution expertise, qualities that will be critical as the company expands its capabilities in precision engineering.  

Handa is a seasoned automotive industry professional with more than 25 years of experience spanning operations, business development and organisational transformation. Currently serving as Technical Director – Operations & Business Development at Omega Bright Steel, he has been responsible for driving strategic initiatives across multiple manufacturing plants. His career has included leadership roles at Sawraj (PTL) and Automotive Tube Manufacturing Industries, where he oversaw production of precision steel tubes, hydraulic hoses, exhaust systems, sheet metal components and EV projects, supplying leading domestic and international OEMs.  

A significant part of his professional journey has been dedicated to operational improvement and transformation, with a strong focus on quality management systems. He has hands-on experience with IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, and has worked closely with certification bodies such as TÜV, BSI, DNV, Vincotte and BVQI. His expertise in establishing and strengthening certification frameworks has supported multiple organisations in achieving compliance and excellence.  

Handa’s international exposure, through technical and business interactions in Japan, China, Thailand and Taiwan, has provided him with valuable insights into global manufacturing and quality practices. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to building stronger manufacturing capabilities, developing reliable supplier ecosystems and delivering superior quality through customer-centric, technology-driven solutions.
