Publicis Groupe has won Microsoft’s global media account from dentsu without a pitch, marking a major expansion of their partnership. The deal integrates Publicis’ Epsilon and Sapient expertise with Microsoft’s Azure cloud, embedding agentic AI to automate execution and elevate creative strategy, reflecting a growing trend of technology-first alliances.  

Publicis Groupe has captured Microsoft’s global media account from dentsu in a move that bypassed the traditional pitch process, signalling a new era of technology-led partnerships in the advertising industry. The win, framed as part of an expanded collaboration, will see Publicis embed agentic AI across Microsoft’s marketing stack, integrating its Epsilon data capabilities and Sapient’s digital expertise with Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform.  

The alliance is designed to automate repetitive execution tasks while freeing up creative teams to focus on strategy and innovation.
