Tanvi Swami has been named Marketing Director for Pepsi, 7UP and Mirinda at PepsiCo. She will lead marketing strategy and brand growth for these flagship beverages, drawing on her 16 years of experience across Pernod Ricard, Britannia Industries and Kellogg Company, where she managed and scaled iconic consumer brands.

PepsiCo has announced the appointment of Tanvi Swami as Marketing Director for three of its most prominent beverage brands: Pepsi, 7UP and Mirinda. In her new role, Swami will be responsible for shaping marketing strategy and driving brand growth, reinforcing PepsiCo’s commitment to strengthening its position in India’s competitive soft drinks market.

Swami brings with her a wealth of experience in building and scaling consumer brands across diverse categories. Prior to joining PepsiCo, she served as Marketing Director at Pernod Ricard, where she oversaw premium spirits portfolios including Chivas Regal and The Glenlivet. Her leadership in the premium spirits segment was marked by initiatives that enhanced brand equity and consumer engagement in a highly competitive landscape.

Her career spans over 16 years, with significant contributions to some of India’s most recognised food and beverage brands. At Britannia Industries Limited, she managed household names such as Britannia 5050, Tiger and Little Hearts, steering them through growth phases and ensuring their relevance in a dynamic market. At Kellogg Company, she played a pivotal role in expanding the reach of brands like Chocos, Special K and Muesli, while driving growth across portfolios exceeding ₹1,000 crore.

Swami’s appointment reflects PepsiCo’s focus on leveraging seasoned marketing leadership to sustain and expand the appeal of its flagship brands. With her proven track record in brand management, category leadership and consumer-focused marketing, she is expected to bring fresh perspectives to PepsiCo’s beverage portfolio, balancing heritage with innovation.

Her career trajectory illustrates the adaptability and strategic insight required to lead iconic brands across categories ranging from biscuits and breakfast cereals to premium spirits. Now, as she takes charge of Pepsi, 7UP and Mirinda, Swami’s blend of experience across mass-market and premium segments positions her to deliver impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse consumer bases.

PepsiCo’s decision to entrust Swami with its flagship beverages underscores the company’s ambition to strengthen consumer connections and drive growth in India’s evolving beverage sector. Her leadership is anticipated to play a crucial role in shaping the future of PepsiCo’s soft drinks portfolio, ensuring these brands continue to thrive in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
