The Hindu Huddle, the flagship ideas conclave of The Hindu, will return on 5–6 June 2026 in Bengaluru. Curated by Narayan Lakshman, the sixth edition themed India in Dialogue will spotlight federalism and host leading voices from politics, business, academia, arts and civil society.
For over a century, The Hindu has stood as a voice of honesty, authenticity and objectivity, pioneering quality journalism and nurturing reflection on India’s past and future. In 2017, this commitment gave rise to The Hindu Huddle, a two‑day ideas festival in Bengaluru designed to spark dialogue and transformation. Since then, the conclave has become a landmark in India’s intellectual calendar, bringing together some of the finest minds across politics, academia, industry, entertainment, sports, literature, arts and culture.
Over four editions, The Hindu Huddle has hosted extraordinary leaders including former Indian President Ram Nath Kovind, former Vice‑President M Venkaiah Naidu, Sri Lankan leaders Ranil Wickremesinghe and Mahinda Rajapaksa, Maldivian President Mohamed Nasheed, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and Indian policymakers such as Arun Jaitley, P Chidambaram, Nirmala Sitharaman and Raghuram Rajan. Their deliberations have spanned political climates, economic affairs, financial crises, education, social challenges, cultural trends and sporting triumphs, opening up transformational ideas for a hyperconnected, digital‑driven world.
The sixth edition, announced by Narayan Lakshman, Opinion Editor and Senior Associate Editor of The Hindu, will be held on 5–6 June 2026 in Bengaluru. Its theme, India in Dialogue, will focus on the politics of federalism, a subject of growing importance in shaping India’s governance and future. The conclave promises to once again convene an unparalleled gathering of leaders and thinkers from diverse fields to debate critical changes unfolding across the world.
Among the distinguished speakers this year are Karnataka Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Jammu and Kashmir’s Omar Abdullah, Lok Sabha MPs Aparajita Sarangi and Dr T Sumathy, Rajya Sabha MPs Dr Santrupt Misra and Sagarika Ghose, Chief Economic Advisor Dr V Anantha Nageswaran, and international voices including Xu Feihong, Ambassador of China to India, and Hervé Delphin, Ambassador of the European Union to India. The line‑up also features cultural and creative figures such as actors Manoj Bajpayee, Kritika Kamra and Huma Qureshi, artist Seema Kohli, and pianist Soundarie David Rodrigo, alongside journalists from The Hindu and NDTV.
