Havas Media Network India has announced the appointment of Tabassum Modi as Chief Content Officer and Head of Havas Play India, the network’s entertainment, content, sports and social arm. Based in Mumbai, Modi will report to Mohit Joshi, CEO, Havas Media Network India, and lead the division’s integrated vision and operations.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience across media, entertainment and content, Modi is tasked with accelerating growth and innovation for Havas Play India, which was launched in 2023 as part of Havas’ global sports, entertainment and culture network. The division has quickly established itself as one of India’s most dynamic agencies, blending content, fandom, influencers, experiential marketing, and partnerships to deliver culture-first brand experiences.
Havas Play India’s growth has been bolstered by strategic alliances with Lens Vault Studios (LVS), Gameplan Sports and SG Sports, Media & Entertainment, expanding its footprint across major sporting and entertainment ecosystems. The division has also earned industry recognition and multiple awards for branded content, influencer marketing and experiential campaigns.
The new leadership structure under Modi brings together specialised heads across verticals. Prachi Narayan, Managing Partner, will continue to anchor Content & Entertainment, while Uditvanu Das, AVP, leads Sports. Kapil Nair, Sr. VP at Pivotroots, will drive Social, and Shruti Rajkumar, AVP – Partnerships, will oversee Growth. Debojit Banerjee, Business Manager, heads Sales with an expanding regional team.
This cohesive structure is designed to deliver end-to-end, culture-first solutions and accelerate Havas Play’s ambition to build meaningful, high-impact brand experiences. Meanwhile, Uday Mohan continues to lead the core business as Chief Operating Officer of Havas Media India, ensuring strong alignment across the network’s broader operations.
