Yango has named Georgia Thomas as chief strategy and growth officer, joining Amy Carr and Rob Nagy in a new senior leadership trio. With over 20 years’ experience, Thomas brings brand and omni-channel expertise, introducing her HALO framework to elevate strategic thinking as AI reshapes customer behaviour and decision-making.

Yango has announced the appointment of Georgia Thomas to the newly created role of chief strategy and growth officer, marking a significant step in the agency’s evolution. Thomas joins managing director Amy Carr and general manager Rob Nagy to form a senior leadership trio designed to balance commercial focus, product innovation and strategic brand expertise.

Carr, whose leadership has steered Yango’s commercial growth, will continue to drive client value, while Nagy leads product, operations and AI initiatives. Thomas’ arrival adds a new dimension, bringing more than two decades of experience across client, agency and publisher roles. Her career includes senior positions at The Iconic, Beem and Ikon Communications, where she built a reputation for shaping omni-channel strategies and uncovering human insights that drive cultural relevance.

Most recently, as director of brand, media and communications at The Iconic, Thomas launched the “Got You Looking” platform, a campaign that underscored her ability to blend creativity with measurable impact. At Beem, she served as chief marketing officer, while her tenure at Ikon Communications saw her lead national media agency operations.

Carr emphasised the importance of Thomas’ appointment in Yango’s next phase of growth. “For the past 13 years, we’ve invested heavily in our technical capabilities. The next stage is helping our clients unlock more value through sharper strategic thinking,” she said. “Georgia is one of the few leaders who has sat on both sides of the table. In this new role, she will create frameworks that help our clients and our people navigate an automated landscape by applying human ingenuity.”

Central to Thomas’ approach is HALO, a proprietary framework that integrates strategy, media, customer data, AI and creativity. She believes this model will elevate Yango’s strategic offering, ensuring clients can adapt to the rapidly shifting digital environment. “Joining Yango was an easy decision. There’s so much momentum behind the business and an exciting culture that truly lives its values,” she said. “The work Yango delivers is seriously impressive. My job is to elevate the strategic layer on top through our new framework. As AI shapes more of how customers search and decide, human ingenuity becomes our greatest differentiator.”

Thomas’ appointment signals Yango’s commitment to combining technical innovation with human-led strategy, positioning the agency to deliver integrated solutions that resonate in an increasingly automated marketplace
