ŠKODA AUTO INDIA CELEBRATES FANS WITH FESTIVE CAMPAIGN

Škoda Auto India and BBH India have launched ‘Škoda Fan Fest’, a festive‑season campaign rooted in the brand’s ‘Fans, Not Owners’ platform. Centred on a humorous heist film, the campaign celebrates customer advocacy, turning ownership into fandom, and extends across TV, digital, print and outdoor to engage audiences nationwide.

Škoda Auto India, in partnership with BBH India, has unveiled the latest edition of its festive‑season initiative, ‘Škoda Fan Fest’. The campaign builds on the brand’s distinctive platform, ‘Fans, Not Owners’, introduced in 2025 to highlight the emotional bond between Škoda and its customers.

At the heart of the campaign is a film that takes an unexpected turn on the conventions of car advertising. Set against the backdrop of a heist, the narrative begins with a Škoda owner caught in a tense getaway alongside two robbers. What unfolds is less about the crime and more about the car. As the chase progresses, the robbers find themselves distracted by the vehicle’s features, from Škoda SuperCare and its ownership benefits to the brand’s safety credentials and extensive service network. By the end of the sequence, the robbers are no longer focused on escape but on the car itself, transformed into new fans through the sheer enthusiasm of the owner.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, explained the thinking behind the campaign: “Škoda Auto has built a community of customers in India who are not owners, but genuine fans and strong advocates of the brand. With ‘Škoda Fan Fest’, we wanted to celebrate that organic connection and let our fans do what they do best – share their experiences with others. Rather than simply telling people about the Škoda experience, we want them to discover it through the people who know it best. This festive season, we are celebrating our fans and inviting more people to become part of the Škoda family.”

The creative execution reflects BBH India’s trademark storytelling. Parikshit Bhattaccharya, Chief Creative Officer, BBH India and Propagate India, noted: “When people genuinely love something, they find a reason to talk about it. That’s what makes Škoda’s fans so interesting. We took that thought and placed it in the middle of a heist, where a getaway slowly turns into a conversation about the car. The humour comes from that shift in priorities, letting the car become part of the story rather than a product demonstration.”

By situating the brand in such an unconventional context, the campaign underscores the idea that fandom transcends ownership. It demonstrates how genuine enthusiasm can turn even the most unlikely conversation into a recommendation. In doing so, ‘Škoda Fan Fest’ not only celebrates existing fans but also extends an invitation to new audiences to experience the Škoda difference during the festive season.

The campaign is currently live across television and digital platforms, with extensions planned across print and outdoor. From broadcast to billboards, the initiative ensures that the festive spirit of Škoda reaches audiences at multiple touchpoints, reinforcing the brand’s message of community, advocacy and celebration.
