McDonald’s India (West & South), operated by Westlife Foodworld Ltd., has launched the Spicy Patakha Range to mark the festive season. Featuring paneer and chicken burgers with smoky, makhani-inspired flavours, the range is supported by a McCann India campaign celebrating family togetherness and festive preparations. Prices start at ₹199.
As families across India gather to celebrate the festive season, McDonald’s India (West & South) has unveiled a bold new flavour experience with the launch of its Spicy Patakha Range. Introduced by Westlife Foodworld Ltd., which owns and operates McDonald’s restaurants across West and South India, the range features two indulgent offerings: the Spicy Patakha Paneer Burger and the Spicy Patakha Chicken Burger.
Building on the brand’s “Let’s Family at McD” platform, the launch embraces the spirit of festive togetherness, positioning McDonald’s as a place where families, friends and communities can come together to create meaningful memories. From shopping breaks and family outings to festive catch-ups, the new range is designed to add flavour to every celebration.
Inspired by India’s love for festive indulgence, the burgers combine smoky, spicy notes with the richness of makhani, one of the country’s most beloved taste profiles. The paneer variant features a spiced paneer patty, while the chicken version offers a fiery chicken patty, both layered with a smoky sauce and served in soft, toasted buns.
Akshay Jatia, CEO of Westlife Foodworld Ltd., said, “The festive season is one of the most meaningful times for families to come together and celebrate. It is also a time when consumers look for flavours that feel familiar, indulgent and festive. The Spicy Patakha Range is inspired by these insights and reflects our continued commitment to creating menu innovations that resonate with Indian tastes while giving families another reason to come together and enjoy special moments.”
To amplify the launch, McDonald’s India (West & South) has rolled out an integrated campaign conceptualised by McCann India, part of Omnicom Advertising India. Centred on the idea that the joy of festivals begins long before the celebrations themselves, the campaign highlights everyday preparations such as decorating homes and festive shopping. Through the bold flavours of the Spicy Patakha Range, these moments are transformed into occasions worth celebrating, captured in films under the theme “Tyohaar ki Taiyaari Mein Thodi Mazedaari”.
The launch underscores McDonald’s long-standing commitment to evolving its menu in line with Indian consumer preferences. From pioneering India-specific adaptations such as the McAloo Tikki to introducing favourites like the Maharaja Mac and McSpicy range, the brand has consistently innovated to reflect changing tastes and dining occasions. The Spicy Patakha Range continues this journey, marrying the demand for bold, indulgent flavours with the familiar comfort of makhani.
Available from 11 October 2026 across McDonald’s restaurants in West and South India, the Spicy Patakha Range will be offered for dine-in, takeaway and delivery, while stocks last. Prices start at ₹199, exclusive of taxes, ensuring that festive indulgence remains accessible to families across the region.
